The Parable Of The Good Samaritan
We all read this parable and assume we're the hero. But before you can extend mercy like the Good Samaritan, you have to admit you were once the man in the ditch — helpless, wounded, and unable to save yourself. In this message, Pastor Dustin walks through Luke 10:25-37 and asks the question we usually skip: who are you really in this story? The lawyer looking for loopholes instead of opportunities to love? The robbers who use people as a means to an end? The priest and Levite who see the need and walk past because it's inconvenient? Or the wounded man who needs someone to stop for him? The good news isn't "try harder to be the Good Samaritan." The good news is that Jesus is the one who crossed the road for us — He saw us helpless, bound our wounds, paid our debt, and promised to come back for us. Only people who've received that kind of mercy can actually give it away.
