The King's Commencement

Often times, we tend to have a limited view as to what’s really going on in the midst of our expectation, meaning we’ll get so into the idea of what we expect, that it’s difficult to see it happening any other way. Jesus knew he had to change the expectation of the Jewish people because they were under severe Roman oppression, and they were expecting Jesus to ride in, wield his power, overthrow the Roman Empire, and become the new King to accomplish their political agenda. Jesus does so much more than this as he entered Jerusalem on Palm Sunday for what would be the beginning of the journey to the cross.
